I feel very fortunate that I was Introduced a few months ago by my friend Mike Crivello, President of the Milwaukee Police Association, to retired police officer Vidal Colon.

The words that come to mind after meeting Vidal is duty, honor & integrity.

17 Seconds

On April 11 2009, while on duty, Vidal was shot three times by a nine time felon with a handgun.  Within 17 seconds this officer’s life changed.

Omaha Police Officer and Dept Rep Jeff Warnock with Brian Benedict

After spending time with Jeff you come to realize that he’s not only a good police officer but a great guy.  Living life honorably and ethically promotes your integrity without even trying to do so.  After being with Jeff and his wife Michelle I found myself thinking about how building meaningful relationships built on trust and character can grow each person they influence.  Jeff and Michell have built friendships with other firefighters and officers across the country just being them.  Not anyone else.   Thanks for inspiring me Jeff and keep on making each day count.
